Settings that affect every page

Your logo, colours, contact details, social links, menus and search listing. Change these once and they update everywhere.

Reaching the settings screensThe sidebar only links to Settings → General. The other settings screens (Website, Design, SEO, Social, Email, Payment, Content) have no menu link — you reach them by typing the address directly. Each section below gives you the exact address. Bookmark the ones you use.

Club name, logo and favicon

Your club identity — the name in the browser tab, the logo in the header, and the small icon beside the page title.

How to change it

  1. Open Settings → General from the sidebar.
  2. Set Site Name and Site Tagline.
  3. Upload a Primary Logo — a PNG with a transparent background works best.
  4. Upload a Favicon — a small square image, 32×32 pixels.
  5. Click Save Settings.
Clear your browser cache.Browsers hold on to the old favicon stubbornly. If it looks unchanged, force-refresh the page or try a private window.

Contact details

The address, phone number and email shown on the contact page, in the footer and in your automated emails.

How to change it

  1. Open Settings → General.
  2. Set Public Contact Email, Contact Phone, Office Address and Support Hours.
  3. Set Admin Email — this is where enquiry notifications are sent.
  4. Click Save Settings.

Social media links

The social icons in the footer and header.

How to change it

  1. Go to /admin/settings/social.
  2. Paste the full web address of each profile — Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn.
  3. Leave a field blank to hide that icon completely.
  4. Click Save.

Colours, fonts and section backgrounds

The club colour used for buttons and headings, the site font, and the background image or colour behind each section of the site.

How to change it

  1. Go to /admin/settings/design.
  2. Set the Accent Colour — this is the main club colour used across the site.
  3. For each section (footer, about, countdown, results, news and so on) you can choose a background image or a flat colour, and switch it on or off.
  4. Light mode and dark mode are set separately, so check both.
  5. Click Save.
Background images.Use 1920×1080 pixel images. Anything smaller will look soft when stretched across a wide screen.

Standard page content

Most ordinary pages — About, Our Values, the academy and training pages — are edited from one place.

How to change it

  1. Sidebar → WebsiteSite Pages.
  2. Find the page in the list and click Edit.
  3. Change the Title, intro text, banner image and the page body.
  4. Click Save.

To create a brand new page

Use Create Custom Page. Once saved, add a Nav Item pointing at it so visitors can find it.

How your pages appear in Google

The title and description shown for each page in search results and when a link is shared on social media.

How to change it

  1. Go to /admin/settings/seo.
  2. Pick the page you want to work on from the list.
  3. Write the meta title — keep it under about 60 characters.
  4. Write the meta description — one or two sentences, under about 155 characters.
  5. Click Save.
Give Google time.Search engines re-read your site on their own schedule. A change here can take days or weeks to show in search results.

Announcement banners

Short notices across the top of the site — a cancelled match, an AGM date, a weather call.

How to change it

  1. Sidebar → Content & MediaAnnouncements.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Write the message, choose a category and add a banner image if you want one.
  4. Set it Active and click Save.
Take them down again.An announcement stays up until you switch it off. Old notices left showing make the club look inattentive.

Newsletter subscribers

Everyone who has signed up for club updates through the website.

How to change it

  1. Sidebar → BusinessNewsletters.
  2. You see every subscriber and the date they signed up.
  3. Click Export to download the list as a spreadsheet for your mailing tool.
Data protection.This is personal data under UK GDPR. Only use these addresses for what people signed up to receive, and remove anyone who asks to be taken off.

The wording used on match pages

Labels shown across every fixture and result — “Live”, “vs”, “TBA”, “Venue”, “Toss”, “Man of the Match” and the rest.

How to change it

  1. Go to /admin/settings/content.
  2. Change any label you want worded differently.
  3. Click Save — it updates on every match page at once.
Change it once, not match by match.These are the words used site-wide, so you never edit an individual fixture to reword them.

News categories

The category labels used to file and filter your news articles.

How to change it

  1. Sidebar → Content & MediaBlog Categories.
  2. Click Add New to create a category, or Edit to rename one.
  3. Click Save. It becomes selectable when you write a post.

The email account the website sends from

The mail server used for enquiry notifications and automated emails.

How to change it

  1. Go to /admin/settings/email.
  2. Enter the SMTP host, port, username, password and encryption given by your email provider.
  3. Set From Address and From Name — what recipients see.
  4. Click Save and send yourself a test enquiry to check it works.
Ask your provider or developer for these.These settings come from your email host. Wrong values stop every automated email silently, so change them only with the correct details to hand.

Taking the site offline temporarily

Maintenance mode shows a holding page to visitors while you make bigger changes.

How to change it

  1. Go to /admin/settings/website.
  2. Turn Maintenance Mode on.
  3. Click Save. Visitors now see a holding page.
  4. Turn it back off when you are finished.
Do not leave this on.While maintenance mode is on, nobody can use your website. Switch it off as soon as you are done.
